However, the huge and unbeatable success of Honda Activa gearless scooter is always hunting Hero MotoCorp. Currently, they are having two gearless scooters on sale in India; Hero Maestro Edge and Hero Duet, which are getting popularity and success in the market slowly but steadily.

The Hero Maestro Edge is an extremely stylish and sporty gearless scooter, which targets the young buyers. While the Hero Duet targets the middle-age and elder scooter riders. Here, we compare the Hero Duet with the Honda Activa 4G to find which one is the best.

Body Design & Styling

When you give a first look to both of these gearless scooters, you would hardly notice any major difference in their appearance. Rather, both of them look much similar to each other. As a gearless scooter, both Honda Activa 4G and Hero Duet look promising with fair and decent looks. However, young buyers may still consider other options like Yamaha Fascino or Hero Maestro Edge, which look more attractive and sporty.

The Hero Duet with an all-metal body has an advantage in this segment. The body panels used in the Hero Duet looks elegant, reliable and long lasting. The Honda Activa 4G with fiber body panels don’t look promising when compared to an all-metal body.

Suspension

The Honda Activa 4G features spring loaded hydraulic type suspension on the front and rear. While the Hero Duet gets telescopic, hydraulic shock absorbers on the front and unit swing with spring loaded hydraulic damper on the rear. The ride quality and comfort on both of these gearless scooters is almost same. However, the Hero Duet is a bit better in handling potholes.

Engine & Performance

The Honda Activa 4G is powered by a 109.19cc Air Cooled, 4-Stroke, SI Engine that produces 8.11PS of maximum power at 7500rpm and 9NM of maximum torque at 5500rpm. It can take this scooter at a maximum speed of 83kmph without any hassle.

The Hero Duet gets its power from 110.9cc Air-Cooled, 4-Stroke Single Cylinder OHC Engine that churns 8.1PS of maximum power at 7500rpm and 8.7NM of torque at 5500rpm. This gearless scooter can touch the mark of 85kmph with an ease.
